In the fast-paced world of technology, where innovation knows no bounds, it is essential to shine a spotlight on the exceptional women who are shaping the industry and driving it forward.

Could you briefly introduce yourself, tell us about your background, and how you ended up here?

With a Master’s degree in Marketing and Business Strategy, my journey into the world of advertising began with my first work-study placement, followed by a permanent role at Groupe Cerise (Prisma Media). After spending nearly two and a half years at the company, I decided to embark on new adventures by joining Weborama. Faced with the imminent transformation of the sector following the end of third-party cookies, I was keen to be at the heart of this evolution within the adtech sector. Since joining, I have gained valuable knowledge, particularly regarding the technical aspects of advertising and data management in general. My ongoing learning and the daily challenges are what excite me most about Weborama.

What is your role at Weborama and what are your responsibilities?

My role as Sales Manager within the Media division’s sales team is to develop and retain my client portfolio. The main objective is to increase turnover through the various strategies and offerings provided by Weborama.

Could you share an achievement or a project you’re particularly proud of since joining the company?

Since joining Weborama, I have been particularly proud of the growth I have achieved in my client portfolio. In fact, my portfolio’s turnover increased by over 30% between 2023 and 2022! This success is down to the support of the various teams (Activation, Data & Insights). I have successfully met the challenge set for me when I first joined, and I am delighted to take on increasingly stimulating challenges every year.

What skills or qualities do you think women bring to the tech sector, and how does this strengthen the team at Weborama?

Women bring a wealth of invaluable perspectives, skills and qualities to the technology sector. Their communication skills, ability to collaborate, creativity and empathy play a crucial role in strengthening teams at Weborama, fostering an inclusive and innovative environment.

How do you view the importance of diversity and the representation of women in the tech sector, and how is this reflected at Weborama?

Diversity and the representation of women in the tech sector are essential for fostering innovation, creativity and inclusive problem-solving. At Weborama, we recognise that a variety of perspectives and experiences is fundamental to driving the company’s growth and success. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where women are valued, encouraged and supported in their professional development.

What advice would you give to young women who want to pursue a career in tech, particularly at Weborama?

It is crucial to keep learning continuously, to seek out mentors for sound advice, to demonstrate self-confidence and assertiveness, to build a professional network by attending industry events, and to remain resilient in the face of any obstacles that may arise.

Outside of work, are you involved in any initiatives or activities aimed at promoting diversity and inclusion in the tech sector or within Weborama?

Since last year, I have been involved with The Women In Programmatic, an organisation dedicated to promoting diversity, inclusion and professional development for women in the programmatic sector – a field concerned with the automation of online advertising transactions. This organisation provides a forum where women can meet, share their experiences, benefit from mentoring and professional development, whilst encouraging initiatives designed to increase the number of women in the industry. Its aim is to help create a fairer and more diverse ecosystem, which, by extension, strengthens the programmatic industry as a whole.

Could you tell us about a woman in the tech industry who inspires you, and how her journey has influenced your own career?

Sheryl Sandberg’s career in the tech sector is a source of inspiration thanks to her visionary leadership, her commitment to gender equality, and her ability to motivate others to reach their full professional potential. She is an iconic figure in the tech world, having held senior leadership roles at prestigious companies, including Google and Facebook. She is particularly renowned for her role as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Facebook, where she played a crucial part in the platform’s rapid expansion and monetisation strategy. My interest in her work grew after I started reading her book *Lean In*, in which she highlights the importance of mutual support among women in the workplace. She draws attention to the concept of ‘taking your foot off the accelerator’ – the tendency for women to step back from their career progression out of fear of future obstacles such as motherhood. Sandberg urges women to maintain high ambitions and commit wholeheartedly to their careers, whilst advocating for systemic reform aimed at creating more inclusive and fair workplaces.

Join us on this journey as we celebrate the achievements, ambitions and exceptional contributions of the women who are helping to shape the future of tech at Weborama. ‘She Innovates: Women of Weborama’ is not just an article; it is a tribute to the people who are pushing boundaries, breaking stereotypes and inspiring the next generation of women in technology.
