Meet Julie Stevens, Head of Sales at Weborama, as she takes us behind the badge to share what her (not-so-typical) days look like, how she knows when a prospect is genuinely interested, how intent data is reshaping client conversations, and why great salespeople know that listening matters more than talking.

I'm Julie, Head of Sales at Weborama. I've been working in digital advertising for… long enough to have witnessed quite a few industry revolutions and picked up more acronyms than I can count!
What I love about my job? Understanding clients' challenges, coming up with ideas, creating opportunities and, above all, building genuine relationships.
Today, I lead Weborama's commercial development: supporting my team, strengthening relationships with clients and partners, exploring new business opportunities, and making sure we connect their business challenges with the real value our technology and data can deliver.
The beauty of it is that there's no such thing as a typical day! Every day comes with its share of surprises, good and bad, and I love juggling different projects.
I might start with a team catch-up on business priorities, head into a client meeting, work on a strategic proposal, join an internal workshop to shape our future products and services, explore a new business opportunity… and then have my entire schedule turned upside down by something completely unexpected.
It's a job that requires you to constantly switch gears, take a step back to look at the bigger picture, and then dive right back into the details. And that's exactly what keeps me going.
When they stop just listening to the presentation and start imagining how it could work for their own business.
The real turning point is when the questions become more specific: “How could we apply this to our business?”, “Could you help us reach this audience?”, “What kind of budget would we need to run a test?”
That's when the conversation shifts from a sales pitch to actually building something together.
It's completely changed the way we approach audience strategies.
Rather than focusing on predefined audience segments or isolated data points, we're now able to connect multiple signals to better understand how consumer intent emerges, develops and evolves over time.
It's not just about identifying who might be interested in a product or service, but understanding when that interest becomes meaningful and how to act on it at the right moment.
From a sales perspective, that opens up a much more strategic conversation with clients. We move beyond traditional targeting and audience reach to focus on relevance, engagement and, ultimately, measurable business outcomes.
That being a great salesperson is all about being a smooth talker.
I actually believe the opposite. It's about knowing how to listen, asking the right questions and quickly understanding what really matters to the person sitting across from you.
Sales isn't about convincing someone to buy something they don't need. It's about understanding their challenges and figuring out whether you can genuinely help solve them.
A branded sleeveless puffer vest. I know I'm taking a risk saying that in our industry… but someone had to say it!
“3615 Ma Life!”
It's a very French '90s reference, inspired by the old Minitel service. Basically, it means “here comes my life story!”
Because I love chatting, telling stories and sharing experiences… and let's just say I'm much better at delivering a sales pitch than keeping my personal anecdotes short!
